Grand Rapids, Michigan — Madcap Coffee Company announced they are planning their newest cafe, scheduled to open in 2026, in Ferndale, Michigan. The cafe will be located at the bottom level of the Ferndalehaus Loft building on 430 W Nine Mile Rd. This will be the fourth Madcap Coffee location, and the second cafe based in the Detroit
area.

News of the Ferndale cafe location comes shortly after the company announced the sale of their Leland, Michigan, cafe location to Hive Coffee Company. The cafe, located on 106 N Main St, will be reopening in November as Little Boat Coffee, and will offer Madcap Coffee and dito coffee beans to its guests. Work on the Ferndale cafe location begins late November. Once complete, the 1800 sq.ft. space will feature a rentable multimedia room, stadium-style seating, and a spacious bar for guests to attend seated coffee experiences.
