Announced Friday, October 17th, the SCA introduced Bogotá, Colombia as the host city for the 2027 World of Coffee event as well as the 2027 World Brewers Cup.

Following Indonesia in 2025 and Panama in 2026, Colombia will be the third consecutive producing country to be home to a World Coffee Championship.  The announcement came at Host Milan and was jointly made by SCA CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos and Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) CEO Germán Alberto Bahamón Jaramillo. It will be the first time in 16 years that a World Coffee Championship will be held in the Colombian capital.

Per the press release, the even “will mark a new era in the SCA and FNC partnership as the two organizations will work in tandem to bring global specialty coffee professionals and world competitors to a vibrant South American city in one of the world’s top coffee-producing countries.”
