Aurura Coffee Hub opened their flagship location near Amman’s 7th Circle in February this year. The space features all kinds of coffee offerings from espresso to filter brewed with various coffee setups. “We wanted to create a peaceful sanctuary from the bustling city where coffee takes center stage,” says Aurura’s Khalil Awad. The team draws inspiration from Nordic cafes for the design of the space and the roast-level of coffees offered. A delicious new destination in Amman, Jordan—this is Aurura Coffee Hub.

For those who aren’t familiar, will you tell us about your company?
Aurora Coffee Hub is a Nordic-style specialty coffee house based in Amman, Jordan. Our vision brings the minimalist design, clean flavors, and light-roast precision of Scandinavian coffee culture into the vibrant heart of Amman. We focus on single-origin coffees, clean ingredient integrity, and crafting an unhurried space for genuine connection and specialty coffee education.
Can you tell us a bit about the new space?
Our new flagship location near Amman’s 7th Circle was designed to reflect true Nordic calm. The interior features light natural wood, clean architectural lines, minimalist aesthetics, and an open bar layout that removes physical barriers between baristas and guests. We wanted to create a peaceful sanctuary from the bustling city where coffee takes center stage, complimented by specialized manual brew setups and custom-packaged takeaway treats.
What’s your approach to coffee?
Our approach is anchored in Nordic roasting philosophy: highlighting natural sweetness, bright origin acidity, and clean processing chemistry without dark, heavy roasts. Whether we are serving a delicate washed Kenyan, an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, or our signature Colombian espresso blends, we adhere to strict extraction parameters and daily grinder calibrations to ensure every cup showcases the true character of the coffee cherry.
Any machines, coffees, special equipment lined up?
We are equipped with precision tools for both high-volume service and artisanal slow-bar brewing:
Espresso Equipment: Victoria Arduino VA358 WHITE EAGLE T3 machines paired with dedicated, daily-calibrated Victoria Arduino MY75 grinders for consistent extraction.
Manual Brew Bar: Dedicated pour-over bar featuring V60, Chemex, and AeroPress gear tailored to our rotating single-origin offerings.
Coffees: A curated lineup of Nordic light-roast single origins, including washed Kenyans and natural-process Ethiopians, alongside our Colombian espresso coffee.
How is your project considering sustainability?
Sustainability and environmental responsibility are core to our identity:
Sealed Recyclable Packaging: We serve chilled beverages in hermetically sealed clear takeaway cans, eliminating single-use plastic cup lids and spill-prone straws while maintaining freshness.
Energy Efficiency: Intelligent equipment power scheduling and modern LED infrastructure throughout the shop.
Wholesome Ingredients: Prioritizing natural dates, wholesome additions, and clean ingredients for sweetening over synthetic syrups.
What’s your hopeful target opening date/month?
Our space is currently open since February this year and serving guests at the 7th Circle location in Amman!
Are you working with craftspeople, architects, and/or creatives that you’d like to mention?
We worked closely with local Jordanian woodworkers and interior craftspeople to bring our Nordic minimalist vision to life, using natural materials and custom furniture tailored specifically for the space.
Thank you!
