World of Coffee is headed to Lisbon in 2027. After making a stop later this month in Brussels, the European leg of the Specialty Coffee Association’s premier trade show series will be moving to the Portugese capital city, and it is bringing with it three different World Coffee Championship events.
Announced today, June 4th, World of Coffee Europe will take place June 17th through 19th of next year at the Lisbon Exhibition and Congress Center in the Parque da Nações district.
Along with the traditional trade show fare—new tech, educational events, talks, and lots of coffee—the Lisbon World of Coffee will also feature three of the seven World Coffee Championships. The events are: the World Latte Art Championship, the World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, and the World Cezve/Ibrik Championship.
“World of Coffee exists to bring our global industry together in a way that creates real value for businesses, for professionals, and for the future of specialty coffee,” SCA CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos states in the press release. “Lisbon is a city that understands that kind of exchange. It sits at the intersection of cultures and trade relationships that are fundamental to our value chain, and it has a coffee culture as authentic as the city itself. This is the type of environment where the most transformative thinking thrives. The conversations at World of Coffee Lisbon will shape how our industry innovates, collaborates, and builds the resilience and sustainability that specialty coffee demands in the years ahead.”
Lisbon becomes the fifth World of Coffee event announced for 2027, following Dubai in January, New Orleans in April, Tokyo in April/May, and Bogotá in September/October. For more information, visit the Specialty Coffee Association’s official website.
