Moccamaster Goes All Black With The New KBGT Midnight

by admin

The little black dress, the tuxedo, a murdered-out car, Ortho Stice, what is it about the simple elegance of all-black monochrome that is so appealing? I mean, Fellow has built a rather successful brand around it—and let’s be honest, you bought that Stagg kettle because it looked good before knowing anything about its functionality. Sure, pops of color allow for a little personality to shine through, but the all-black looks is just tough, plain and simple.

Which is why the all-new Moccamaster may be one of their best looking yet. Introducing the Moccamaster KBGT Midnight, the brand’s first all-black coffee maker.

Now, this is not the first black coffee brewer from Moccamaster/Technivorm; they have produced black versions for both their glass and thermal insulated carafe models. But the color has only been used on the body of the machine. With the Midnight, Moccamaster is adding a touch of color to the carafe.

Carafes typically come in brushed stainless steel, but with the release of Midnight, a matte black variation has come to market. But it’s not just for the KBGT Midnight. The 40oz black carafe is also available for standalone purchase, to add a little flair to your current Moccamaster setup.

The Moccamaster KBGT Midnight is currently available on the Moccamaster website for $359, and the carafe for $90.

I gotta be honest, though. The best looking Moccamaster is still the 2026 Color of Year, Sorbet. Which is, weirdly, more metal—more black metal in particular—than the all-black Midnight Moccamaster. For more information, visit Moccamaster’s official website.
