A Slick New Stovetop Coffeemaker From Carhartt And Gemini Express

by admin

I’m seeing double here. FOUR espressos! The continuing Moka Pot Moment the coffee world is experiencing, the Mokassaince, is not merely relegated to the world of Bialetti, the near-century old Italian brand most recognized with the coffeemaker. It belongs to all stovetop espresso makers, and so the Gemini Express is getting in on the fun too.

The 60-year-old stovetop coffee machine manufacturer from Milan has teamed up with Carhartt, and as part of Work In Progress (WIP), the workwear brand’s fashion-focused line, the pair has dropped the new Coffee Break capsule, and it includes a deeply cool coffeemaker collab.

The collection centers around the limited-edition coffeemaker. It follows the traditional Gemini Express brewer: the aluminum body, the dual-spout system allowing the user to create two cups simultaneously, etc. But with Carhartt WIP, the Gemini gets a new colorway, caramel brown, with “Carhartt WIP Gemini Express” in bubble font replacing the Italian manufacturer’s logo.

It comes with a pair of demitasse cups featuring custom illustrations of a cat and mouse as well as saucers with the words “a story told” and “a cup shared.”

Also included in the capsule are two Carhartt WIP Coffee tees, one black and one white, and a keychain, both featuring the same illustrated characters from the coffeemaker.

The limited run stovetop coffeemaker is currently available on the Carhartt WIP website for £95 ($127 USD), but I can’t imagine it’ll be around for long. All the coffee bros out there combing the thrift store and their grandfather’s closet for grailed out Carhartt pieces are sure to jump on this as soon as their shift ends.
